This guidance sets out arrangements to support the continuity of critical shared services, such as information technology infrastructure and software-related services, in resolution, including legal, contractual and governance frameworks, resourcing, management information systems and financial resources. It covers three prevailing industry models: service provision within a regulated entity, service provision by an intra-group service company and service provision by a third party service provider. The purpose of the guidance is to identify features and arrangements that are likely to reinforce the resilience of those models with a view to supporting continuity of the services provided in resolution.
